Project Description:
The survey (made for Ars Progetti s.p.a.) was made as part of the project to transform the house into an interpretation center.
The Ayoub Aga Complex is one of the most valuable properties within the Erbil Citadel. It is located along the central axis (North South); it was the largest building in the Citadel in size in plan, before it was cut down due to the opening of the main road in 1958.
The complex is now divided into two separate blocks on both sides of the north-south road. Both are two-story buildings.
the main block still retains its status as a court house, while, having been partially destroyed in 1958, block B has an L shape.
The two buildings cover an approximate area of 1,300 square meters.
